The stunning Crocworld Conservation Centre on the KZN South Coast, with its incredible animals and activities, is the ultimate playground – and it’s set to get better! On 26 October, Sapphire Coast Tourism is encouraging everyone to come out for the launch of Jikaleza Outdoor Adventures – an amazing zipline and obstacle course that gives visitors the chance to swing through the trees of this aerial adventure park.
“We don’t want anyone to miss out on the launch of this exciting new adventure which is ideal for the whole family,” said Romy Wenzel of Sapphire Coast Tourism. “This is a great way to get out and enjoy the Sapphire Coast’s natural environment, experience a bit of a workout, and get the heart race up while having fun! We’re delighted that it’s opening just in time for the festive holiday season – so if you can’t make the launch, there’s plenty of opportunity to try Jikaleza Outdoor Adventures’ fantastic zipline courses.”
Busani Mthiyane, the Animal Curator of Crocworld Conservation Centre who has tried the zipline adventure, said this tourism offering gives visitors yet another reason to come to this iconic spot: “Jikaleza Outdoor Adventures is one of the region’s only zipline adventure and definitely one to try. While this is run by an outside organisation, visitors will get to experience the ultimate rush of ziplining and performing aerial obstacles in the coastal forest at Crocworld, overlooking our unique wildlife and great views.”
The Jikaleza Outdoor Adventure includes 2 courses – The Kulula Course and The Impi Course – for anyone aged 7 to 100! There is a height restriction of 1.3m and a weight restriction of 120kg. The course features adrenaline-inducing ziplines and obstacle courses among the treetops for a fun and exhilarating workout in a stunning coastal setting. It’s completely safe for all users due to the cutting-edge Coudou Pro system from Italy which is compliant with European Union standards. Plans are in place to build a Junior Course which will be announced soon!
